My trip to the US

My most recent trip happened during December 22nd-January 7th.
During that long period of time, my family and I had spent our
whole Christmas break in the US. After ten years, we finally
came back. I was very ecstatic and eager to see how much
the country has changed. After a long and tiring 17 hour flight,
we finally got to Los Angeles. Just being at the LAX amazed me.
While waiting for my cousin to pick us up at the airport, I was
also excited to rekindle with my cousin who I haven’t seen in
ten years.

Driving through the country was beautiful. Every twist and turn
was a brand new adventure. We stayed at a duration
of five days, and we even spent Christmas there! We went to
different places, including Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Christmas Eve
was when we all gathered for a small feast as a family. But on
Christmas day, we had gone to the Universal Studios and
spent the day there. Sadly, on the 26th, we had to leave for
New Jersey. This was a very emotional day since we had to
leave all our relatives that we haven’t seen in a long time. Also,
LA was just breath-taking, and as crazy as it may seem, I have fallen
in love with the city. The city was a masterpiece itself.
But we had to leave, we had no choice.

All the fun times in Los Angeles will forever be treasured in
my heart. Just being here made me feel as if all my dreams
have just come true.

Flying all the way from LA to New Jersey wasn’t a very long flight.
In New Jersey, we would meet my dad’s former boss and my dad’s
college friends. We stayed at my dad’s former boss’s house. It was
different experience living in a Scottish family’s house. They had
different ways of living and rules, so I had to adjust. But also, it
was a good experience. It was freezing during the whole trip; but
one night, it had even snowed!

On our last day of the New Jersey trip,
we had gone to New York along with my dad’s friend. It was even
colder than New Jersey, so we were just shivering the whole time.
It was quite busy, considering the fact that it was the 30th, which
meant that it was a day before New Year’s Eve, and New York
is famous for their ball drop. Despite all the commotion, I was
able to accomplish two things that I’d always wanted to. Which is:
To eat an authentic New York hotdog and pretzel, and to see the
famous sites, which include: the Empire State building, Central
Park, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

New York was a beautiful city. Quite busy, yet its elegance
never fades. New York is definitely where dreams are made of.

But in comparison, I’d prefer LA. They would’ve been on equal
ranks, if only I wasn’t freezing in New York!

Yet again, we had to leave. We had to bid good-bye. Soon, we
were off to Florida. And in Florida, we would be staying at
the Port Orleans Riverside Resort in Walt Disney World. I was
indeed very stoked for this, mainly because it was Disney World.
Who wouldn’t be excited for Disney World? We had five days
left, and so we decided that we go to one theme park a day.
We went to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood
Studios, and Downtown Disney, and each theme park brought
us to a whole new world. We celebrated New Year’s Eve and
New Year’s Day in Florida. We enjoyed watching the
fireworks display that had occurred. We had even tried
one of Disney World’s famous enormous turkey legs!

Time flew by so fast and before we knew it, it was January 5th.
This means that we would be going back to the Philippines.
Watching the plane take off was very sad. Although we would
be coming home, I still felt a hint of disappointment. I loved
the country, but most of all, I loved the memories we had.
But now we were home, and all the experiences we had would
be memories, and it would remain as memories.

the pictures will follow okay ;)

Breaking Dawn

Today, I watched Breaking Dawn, so I'll go talk about it.

I watched it with my friends today, so, according to the plan, we were supposed to watch Wreck-it Ralph since all the guys wanted to watch it instead, but us girls, wanted to watch Breaking Dawn. We looked at the movies being shown, and all the cinemas, ALL, were showing Breaking Dawn. We had to go from cinema to cinema because we couldn't find any cinemas with enough seats for all of us. So apparently, we did find a movie theater, but it wasn't as nice as the others, but oh well, WE'RE WATCHING BREAKING DAWN YIE EEP.

Now, to talk about it. Let me just say that, IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I'VE WATCHED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AND IT WAS JUST ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF THE CENTURY. OK, I COULD WATCH IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND I COULD STILL CRY AND SOB AND LAUGH AND CRY EVEN MORE EACH TIME. Based on the past movies in the Twilight Saga, I didn't expect Breaking Dawn to be THIS good. It totally changed my whole view on the saga. And, yes, i've read the books, so the last part, really made me cry and think like WHY IS IT OVER?! but still, the whole time I was crying, i also realized how much of an impact it has caused in my life.

And to those who think Kristen Stewart is a bad actress, then you're wrong, because she actually made the movie a huge success. She was great since the beginning and she's still great until the end. And for Rob, if you think his character, Edward, is just a sparkly vampire, then you're wrong again, because he was so much more than that.

Just to conclude, this movie/book was a life changing experience. An unforgettable memory, and i'm proud to say i've watched this. I'm not ashamed at all, why would i be? Actually, it's all those haters that should be ashamed, because they're missing out on a huge part of their lives, or at least, a huge part of mine.

Every scene, every twist, every line in this movie was absolutely perfect. I wouldn't change it for my life.

So, if you haven't watched it, go watch it RIGHT NOW.

...then we continued blissfully into this small but perfect piece of our forever.

the mark of Athena.

As you know, i've been reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series since like, forever a.k.a two years ago. Last year, I finished the Lost Hero and the Son of Neptune and I was really bummed how the Mark of Athena (the next book in the series) comes out in Fall 2012. GUESS WHAT?

IT'S FALL 2012.

My sister bought it for me as a late birthday gift. I started reading it and i'm currently in p.209. So far, here are my thoughts.

I hate Hazel so much o m g . She's too ignorant and arrogant and super duper attention seeking. Piper's okay, i guess. Jason's pretty cool, being the son of Zeus (or Jupiter, in his case) and all. Leo, he's so mechanic-y and so he's useful and so he's cool. Frank, UGH CAN HE GET OUT OF THIS STORY BECAUSE HE DOES NOT FIT IN. He's so jealous and he keeps intimidating Leo. Annabeth, she's cool and one of my favourites. Her battle skills are great and she has great courage and strategy. Percy, HE'S PERF.

I'm very fascinated by Greek mythology. They entertain me in some sort. I'll talk more about the Mark of Athena when I finish it. But then, If you haven't read the series, then your life sucks. kidding. omg. But seriously, you're missing out on the good things in life. But if you're reading the series only now, then you suck. nopejk. Alrighty then, bye! :) xo

the perks of being a wallflower.

The Perks of being a Wallflower

So, i'm talking about this because I watched it last October 12, 2012 with my sister, Anna. I was originally gonna watch it with my best-est friend, Alexa Bianca Atienza Gacis, wow. But it was a long story on why we weren't able to watch. Well, o k a y . But, it went somehow like we misunderstood each other and we didn't agree on which movie. So we ended up watching Hotel Transylvania instead. It wasn't bad. It was actually cute. Let me talk about that first.

Last October 5, 2012, Alexa and I went to Rockwell to go on a lakwa. So, it was just the two of us since the other friends we invited didn't go. But i'll talk about the movie, Hotel Transylvania.

I actually found it kind of sweet how the count dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler), was protective over his daughter (voiced by Selena Gomez). But anyways, she was 118 years old, she did deserve to discover new things. I just think that she should've listened to her dad a bit more. And i think that the dad should've paid more attention to his daughter.

Anyways.

October 12, I finally got to watch the much-awaited Perks of being a Wallflower. Everyone's been talking about it in school and i was really stoked to watch it last friday, but unfortunately, we didn't. So, I watched it with my sistah. My treat.

Let me start talking about it okay.

It was one of the sweetest and most "inspiring-quoted" movies i've watched. Ever. It was really sweet how Charlie (played by Logan Lerman) had a crush on Sam (played by Emma Watson) ever since he first saw her. It was really sweet how he put up with everything and everyone and still managed to stay in love with her, despite, well, uh...everything. I just hated the end a bit because I wished that Charlie had asked Sam out ugh. So basically, the story was about a freshman, Charlie--who had no friends and felt so out of place, getting through his first year with the help of his friends, Sam and Patrick (played by Ezra Miller). Alright, won't give too much of the story away.

omg i sound like i suck. it's so proper it hurts. ok anyways look at my ticket.

Logan Lerman made this movie 8072805728 times better by the way. He's so sexy af. And he's Percy Jackson, and i loved the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I shall talk about it in the next blog. :)
